Closet Heritage (2026)
Closet Heritage is an AI-powered fashion product designed to help users organize their wardrobe and plan outfits using clothes they already own.
Project Overview
Closet Heritage is an AI-powered fashion product designed to help users organize their wardrobe and plan outfits using clothes they already own. I worked on both the mobile app experience and the marketing landing page, focusing on clarity, usability, and conversion. The goal was to turn a complex idea around AI outfit generation into a simple, human-centered experience that fits naturally into everyday life.
Problem
People own more clothes than they actually wear, yet getting dressed remains a repetitive and mentally exhausting process. Most existing solutions either encourage users to buy more clothing or present overly complex AI-driven styling systems that feel detached from real user behavior. This creates a gap between wardrobe ownership and actual usage.
Goal
The goal was to design a product that helps users make better use of their existing wardrobe by allowing them to plan outfits for different occasions with ease. The experience needed to reduce decision fatigue, improve outfit variety, and make daily styling more intentional. In addition to the app, the landing page needed to clearly communicate this value in a simple and compelling way.
Solution
The solution was designed around intentional outfit planning instead of automatic styling. Users upload their clothing items, select what they are dressing for, and receive curated outfit suggestions based on their wardrobe and preferences. This keeps users in control while still benefiting from AI-assisted recommendations.
App Experience
The onboarding experience was designed to be simple and highly visual. Users are guided to upload clothing items with clear instructions to ensure usable full-body images, which form the foundation of the wardrobe system.
The wardrobe becomes the core system where all items are organized and categorized. From here, users can trigger outfit planning based on purpose and duration, such as work, casual wear, or events.
Once an outfit is generated, users can review, edit, save, or share their looks. The design emphasizes control and flexibility rather than static recommendations.
Outcome
The final product delivers a structured and intuitive wardrobe planning experience that helps users make better use of their existing clothes. By shifting the focus from automated styling to intentional outfit planning, the app creates a more trustworthy and user-controlled experience that reduces daily decision fatigue.
