AeChai (2026)

AeChai is an intelligent air-protection system that monitors air quality in real time, responds automatically to unsafe conditions, and keeps users informed through a connected mobile experience. I designed the end-to-end product, shaping everything from the core app experience to onboarding, device interaction, and the marketing landing page.

The Problem

Air quality is often treated as information. For the people affected by it, it’s a condition.
Most existing solutions stop at visibility. They surface data, charts, and alerts, but leave the responsibility of interpretation and action to the user. In practice, this creates friction at the exact moment clarity is needed.
The issue wasn’t a lack of data. It was a lack of response.

The Goal

The goal was to move from awareness to protection.
Instead of designing a product that tells users when the air is unsafe, I focused on designing a system that takes responsibility in that moment. The experience needed to detect risk, respond immediately, and communicate clearly, without requiring constant attention.
The question guiding the work was simple:
what would it feel like if safety didn’t depend on you remembering to check?

Outcome

The result is a product that shifts the role of the user from operator to observer.

By combining sensing, response, and communication into a single system, AeChai reduces the gap between knowing and being protected. The experience is designed to be understood quickly, trusted over time, and relied on without constant interaction.
